Our Origin story
2014
Camilla and Putte founded Camilla & Puttes Breakfast and Diner (duh) in 2014. Since then it has been “full rulle” (full speed) as the classic swedish saying goes. Before opening the restaurant Putte was a well-known face in both Oxelösund and Nyköping for slinging some mean sandwiches from his joint called Puttes Smörgåsbar. Camilla brought the love and style for the restaurant from spending several of her best years (her young twenties) in the GREAT US of A. Together they came up with the idea of the restaurant and bought the old rundown streetfood joint that used to serve the people of Oxelösund in their youth, but now had stood empty for a great many years. The year was 2014 and this is where the journey started.
The Baby Year

The very first “employees” were Camilla’s three sons, one or two relatives and a close friend of the family, Ann-Sofie. Two of these youngsters now run the show (more about that later). Everybody pitched in; from Camilla’s mother that took care of the dishes to her nephew Fabian and sons that served the food (the youngest one, Chris, only ten years old at the time!). Because of everbody’s hard work and long hours we still have the honor of serving some of the same customers as we did back in 2014. Since the start, we had the honor of working with a great deal of great people.
The Future (and the Present)
2023 - Infinity
Back to the two boys (yes, the ones we mentioned above). William and Oliver, two youngsters (in their twenties), both of which started their careers in the kitchen of Camilla & Puttes. This planted the seed that later bloomed out into their burning love for food. Both of them went to culinary school (and both actually got their degree!) before heading out into the scary world of kitchens to try their luck. Now they are back at home, at the helm of Camilla & Puttes. They are bringing back different experiences to the table (literally) and are looking forward to see where they can go next, still honouring the original idea of Camilla and Putte’s dream. Yes, these kind hearted lunatics are actually running the show now.
